Module Installers

This feature provides access to 4 interfaces for finding and installing modules for PHP, Ruby, and Perl. Often, individual modules are used within a number of scripts. To properly integrate a module into a script, the module will need to be retrieved from a central repository and installed on your server.

• PHP Pecl — This repository is associated with the PHP programming language.

• Ruby Gem Installer — The RubyForge repository is associated with the Ruby programming language.

• PHP Extensions and Applications Package — The PEAR repository is associated with the PHP programming language.

• Install a Perl Module — The CPAN repository is associated with the Perl programming language. To manage installed and available Perl modules from the CPAN repository, click Manage.
